Dermatologist in Singapore
Dr K.V. Ratnam is a graduate of National University of Singapore. After completing his National Service, he completed his internal medicine training and was awarded the MRCP (U.K) from London.
He joined the only Skin department in Singapore and was sent on a government scholarship to Stanford University (USA) where he obtained an MSc. He went later to the world famous Karolinska Hospital Sweden to train in Allergy.
In 1985 he started HIV Clinic - the first then in Singapore. In 1990 he was sent on another government scholarship to Mayo Clinic (USA) as a Fellow for one and a half years.
Dr Ratnam has taught NUS post graduates in dermatology and immunology. He has published extensively in prestigious journals and won prizes for clinical research.
